Sustain

Sustain

Sustain is an environmental organisation focused on solving urgent social and ecological challenges through approaches that are sustainable, inclusive and grounded in science. They work across sectors and landscapes to bring partners together, align efforts and unlock long term impact. Their work ranges from technical support and conservation planning to sustainable finance and strategic advisory, all aimed at building resilient systems for people and nature.

We partner with Sustain on many of our consultancy projects. They complement our livestock and restoration experience with strong conservation insight, data analysis and reporting capacity.

Catalyse

Catalyse is an ecological monitoring company that focuses on understanding how management decisions shape ecological outcomes, particularly how grazing influences land function and wildlife movement. Catalyse uses field based empirical measurements that are collected annually and reported back in a clear and practical way so that land managers can see what interventions are working and what needs adjustment.

We work with Catalyse on an advisory level to help interpret the data and add management meaning to it for their clients. We also use their monitoring system on properties we manage as an essential tool to inform our grazing plans and keep our clients updated on how the land is responding.

Kupona Farm

We have partnered with Agwild to develop and manage their regeneration hub in Laikipia, Kupona Farm, which will also host a state of the art training and research centre led by Natural State. The African Centre for Nature Restoration and Resilience is still under construction, and together with Kupona it will form an exceptional place for people to learn regenerative livestock management and nature restoration through real working systems.

Visitors will be able to see first hand how livestock can be run under our ultra high density models and how ecological monitoring cooperative livestock holdings and enterprise development tie into the bigger picture.
